self portraits, for lack of a better subject

I was playing with flash gels b/c it was a rainy afternoon.  Amanda wasn't home so I ended up just making some self portraits for the heck of it.  I thought I might make a more interesting subject than my candle collection. But I do have some sweet candles.

We made dinner.

As usual, I was sidetracked form the actual event I was shooting and saw this little man looking out onto the lake.

Mary Hoats using a branch to drip white latex paint on raw canvas. Action painting (like Pollock) in an abstract art class.  So fun to watch these older women let out their aggressions on the canvas.  It was so exciting.

I'm also working on a new website that is not blogified. So it will be up when I get somewhat finished. But I'm keeping this blog for ongoing stuff
